Network Engineer bij Arxus: what do you do?
As a Network Engineer, you are the first point of contact for our customers, answering their network questions with enthusiasm and expertise. You have the ability to prioritize and decide which questions to take up yourself and which to pass on to our specialists.
Within our team you will have the opportunity to develop yourself into a Cloud Network Specialist. You will learn how to set up, implement, manage and monitor efficient and reliable network connections. Your expertise will keep our network infrastructure running continuously and optimally. Whether you already have experience with network optimization or are eager to learn, we offer you the chance to expand your skills and become a true network expert!
You will also play a crucial role in our internal automation projects, working with tools such as Python Scripting, Bash, PowerShell and GitHub.
What do you bring to the table?
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role or Bachelor's/Master's degree in IT.
- You have a broad interest in cloud technology and networking and also want to grow in this area
- You have knowledge of Firewalls (Access-lists, IPS, NAT and Site-to-Site), but you are also familiar with routing (CCNA or ICND), load balancing and the OSI Model (Layer 1 to 7). Psssst, of course you don't have to know everything but the more the better!
- You've heard of Meraki and SASE.
- You would like to get started with Python Scripting and other automation tools (Bash, PowerShell, and GitHub), or even have experience in this already
- You do not shy away from talking to customers and reassuring them when necessary, in other words, you would like to be able to use your customer-oriented and empathetic nature
