Tibo found his Azure dream job at the job fair

There are plenty of internships available at a job fair, but how do you find one that really suits you? For Tibo, now a Customer Operations Engineer at our Service Desk, the choice was easy. He was looking for a cloud company with expertise in Azure, so he quickly discovered us at the job fair of his college. After a great initial conversation, he was immediately sold. “The people from Arxus were there happily talking about their work and company. Diving into Azure Virtual Desktop

During his internship, Tibo focused on automations for Azure Virtual Desktop, a service that allows users around the world to access their Windows desktops and applications in the cloud.

“Within the Azure team, I immediately felt at home,” he shares. “I had a technical mentor for specific questions, but the open atmosphere also meant I could always approach any of my colleagues.” In other words, the internship provided him with a valuable insight into both the Azure world and the dynamics within Arxus.

Customer Operations: a broad playing field

After his internship, Tibo transitioned to the Customer Operations Team. “The enjoyable work atmosphere made me want to stay at Arxus for sure,” he says. “Within the team, we work with a ticketing system. Customers create a ticket with a question or issue, and our experts assist them further.”

The versatility of the work appeals to him. “Through the tickets, we get in touch with just about all the technologies that we offer at Arxus,” says Tibo. “That's super interesting because it allows you to build a broad foundation.” He immediately gives a number of examples: “Servers going down, Azure resources triggering alerts, issues with Microsoft Teams, ... you won't get bored quickly! We use various tools and often collaborate with other teams to solve problems, so that also ensures a lot of variety.”

Grow and specialize

Such a broad foundation is not just a welcome change for Tibo, but also a springboard to specialization. “We can indicate which technologies we find most interesting,” he says. “Arxus then encourages you to obtain certifications or to move on to another team, where you can work on larger projects.”

For instance, he plans to obtain the AZ-104 and AZ-800 certifications. “The Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) is a fundamental course that everyone on our team takes,” explains Tibo. “AZ-800, on the other hand, focuses on Windows Server and hybrid cloud environments, which is very relevant for our clients.”

One team, one family

The positives for Tibo? Our team spirit and open culture. “I have a buddy who helps me when I have questions, but other colleagues are always ready to help as well. The atmosphere here in the office is really good.” In short: he clearly fits in well at Customer Operations. Welcome to the team, Tibo!
